Background on my hair- It's very fine and dark, and I've been getting balayage for a few years now to lighten it significantly. Obviously the bleach has taken a toll because I have a lot of breakage! Trying out K18, I immediately noticed it gave my hair a softness and shine that it was missing. BUT I'm not actually sure if it's helping to reduce breakage! I think Olaplex #3 helps reduce my breakage more than this product unfortunately.

I’ve only used this 3 times so far, and after blow drying, my hair looks smooth. But- not sure it will solve the breakage problem yet. What I know I don’t like is, you don’t condition your hair before applying K18, so by the time I’ve combed out the knots in my fine, damp hair, there are lots of broken pieces in the sink and that’s not a good thing. Maybe I’m not using enough but I’m using the recommended amount. Not sure I’d buy it again.

For as much as this product costs and the hype behind it, it was a total let down. Did not do anything more than any other leave-in conditioner I have used. I am in the process of changing my hair to be completely grey, as opposed as just my roots, and had to do some bleaching. I was hoping this conditioner would repair any damage that was caused because of the bleaching. But it fell short and again, did nothing more than my regular leave-in conditioners that are a lot less expensive. Would not recommend.
