I really really love this product. A little goes a very long way. Living in the north east a dry nose (and skin around the nose) is a common blight on delicate skin during the winter months. I bought this because it was recommended by my dermatologist. It worked really well for the dry skin issue I have on my legs, but my skin was pretty dry and I'm going through it really fast. Others said it only takes a little for each application, but that was not true for me & I'm going through it much too fast for what it cost for the tiny little (purse sized) 1.35 oz tube so I'll only use it when it's pretty bad. Otherwise it's just too expensive.

I purchased this to use as a hand cream. I wash my hands so many times in a day and they become dry & irritated, even more so in cold weather. It is not greasy and absorbs well, feels nourishing, but does not seem to have lasting effect. Maybe because I am washing them so often. For the price, I have used other products that are equally as good. But this is one worth using and may be better for other dry areas besides hands.

I will say I am sad with the size of the bottle. I got this product less than a month ago and I am already almost out...I was looking for something to last me through the winter so that's disappointing. But overall I would buy again for travel purposes since the bottle is small but will buy something else for the winter that will last longer.

I recently increased my retinol usage which irritated my sensitive skin. I needed a non irritating product to restore my skin’s moisture barrier, and this is perfect for that. It’s so gentle you can use it as a diaper rash cream. It’s not the most elegant formula but it works. I like to cleanse my face with La Roche Posay Toleriane Hydrating cleanser, then apply this to still damp skin to lock in the hydration. A pea size amount emulsified in my fingertips and pressed into my face and neck is all I need. It’s very thick — meaning you should warm it and emulsify it in your fingertips before applying with a pressing motion (don’t slather and rub it on).

Interesting Texture
The first thing I need to mention is the lack of a safety seal with LRP packaging. Meanwhile I can tell my item arrived brand new and untouched, the lack of a safety seal still creates safety and sanitation concerns! I love LRP products, I really hope they can improve on their packaging game! I've been wanting to try this balm since it gets really good reviews within the skincare online community. I have very dry skin with some sensitivity, I'm really prone to redness especially in the winter. This is effective in soothing dry itchiness, and it's VERY EFFECTIVE in reducing redness! The texture is quite interesting, with zinc in the formula it feels quite like applying physical sunscreen. It spreads out easily, it dries with a bit of white cast at first, but that will quickly disappear. More interestingly, it doesn't feel very moisturizing when you put it on, but it doesn't make your skin feel dry either. I went to bed with this as my last step in my skincare routine feeling somewhat skeptical, half expecting to wake up with dry skin in the morning. But I didn't lol, I woke up with very comfortable, calmed skin with no redness! So the verdict, if redness is your main skin concern, this is 100% the product for you! This reduces redness like a dream! But if you are like me and you have very, very, VERY dry skin, this product will still work for you but you will have to look for another source of moisturizer to use in combination with this.
