This barrier cream works well for it's purpose. It helps hydrate skin and keep it from drying out, especially after washing them. I use this for dry, irritated or injured skin typically as an add-on product to my regular moisturizers. It has a nice, smooth texture and goes on smoothly and stays on. It absorbs well into the skin. I would call it somewhat moist and thick, but not too much so. I have mature skin and am liking this very much. I am currently using it on the scar left behind by a scabbed-over cut and I think it is helping the area heal.
