I think this was the missing step in my acne regimen. I had thought toners were unnecessary for a long time but after retinol/adapalene and various bha/aha cleansers brought me no relief from frequent bad breakouts, I added this product. I went through a purge of about 1 or 2 weeks where the breakouts got worse, but at about week 3 the breakouts significantly lessened and my dark spots and started to lighten.
