This is my favorite shampoo to use on colored hair. Even if you don't have colored hair, and you have water with iron in it, it gets all the metal out of your hair. A Must If You Have Hard Water
This chelating shampoo is an absolute must if you have hard water or well water - as these can deposit in your hair making it dull and even brittle! I have double processed hair and most detox/clarifying shampoos make my hair dry and brittle (not what I want!) L'Oreal Professionnel Metal Detox Shampoo is super gentle and I can see a difference right away. I have super hard water and my colorists asks me to use this before my appointment because she notices better color results and more even color coverage when I use this prior to my color sessions.

I also reviewed the mask in this product line. If you have bleach or color damaged hair, these products should give you a good result. My hair was fuzzy and fried and I kept trying so many different things. Now if your hair is damaged past a certain point, not much other than a haircut is going to reverse it. But-you still need to treat your hair with good products. I can tell how my hair feels after rinsing shampoo out if it’s going to be good for my hair. This line saved me from a huge haircut that would have made me miserable for probably a year.

This product was recommended to me by my hair stylist and I couldn't be happier to have a product that actually improves the look and feel of my hair that has been damaged by my hardwater & years of coloring/highlighting blonde . I've used purple shampoos in the past to brighten up my blonde and get rid of the brassy tones but purple shampoo can only take you so far before turning your hair slightly purple. This is fabulous for getting all the gunk out of your hair and off your scalp. Hair is so soft and shiny, especially used with the Metal Detox masque and the Metal Detox hair oil. I use it once a week, lathering twice, and here is the pro-tip from my hairdresser—it is a pre-wash! Use your regular shampoo afterward and experience hair magic. Phenomenal shampoo but beware if you use natural color
I got this as a sample and I loved it so much that I came back to buy a bottle. Then both my daughter and I went thru this shampoo so fast that I invested in the 50oz professional size bottle lol! It deep cleans your hair and leaves it so full, shiny and most of all soft! Your hair is left so light and airy! I’m really amazed at how your hair is left so soft & detangled without the use of conditioner- I never thought this was possible especially for a clarifying shampoo. This miraculous formula resets your hair & detoxifies yet it’s soooo gentle! I don’t know what sorcery of a formula this is but it really works. My only issue is that I use henna on my hair which is plant based and similar to vegetable dyes such as manic panic, etc…. I notice that this stripped the color where the gray hairs went back to being mostly gray. Keep in mind that henna isn’t like regular hair color so I assume if you use salon or boxed hair dye you’ll be fine but just beware with anything that’s a plant base color.
