Lasts a long time
I was initially relying on the smaller 2 oz. & 5 oz. squeeze bottles of the primer gel and seemed to run out fairly quickly during the first phase of having to use the NuFace several times a week. I tried to replace the NuFace gel with cheaper alternatives, like a popular aloe vera and an electrode gel, but ended up coming back to original NuFace gel because of it's efficacy. The ingredients don't break me out or break down the metal coating on the NuFace like the aloe vera I tried. Now that I only use the NuFace about 1-to-2 times per week, the larger gel bottle has lasted me forever. Yes, it tends to dry out quickly, so I keep a mini spray bottle filled with water next to me to keep the gel slippery when I use the device. Otherwise, the larger bottle is the way to go, especially if you can get it on sale.

Smooth moves (and no tingles)
This works as well as the primer that came with my NuFace - but at a more affordable price. I use this on a clean face, but I do not leave it on as the name implies - instead I clean it off with micellar water/cotton round, and use my usual moisturizer and sun block, and get on with my day. Having a good primer makes NuFace much more enjoyable.

It’s expensive but better than cheaper alternatives. The big bottle lasts. It’s absorbing & hydrating though it still pills if you are not washing it off and doing the morning routine over it. I would suggest to use at night for extra hydration. It dries kind of fast so using any hydrating face mist to bring back the glide helps( you do not need to purchase the nuface mist to have same effect)

Necessary, but not great
This primer is essential when using the NuFACE device. Without a generous application of this product, the NuFACE doesn't glide smoothly and the current feels stronger. However, if you apply enough, if feels sticky even after rubbing it into the skin. My preference is to use just enough of this primer to cover my face and liberally use the associated hydrating mist. I always wash it off.
