Did the formula change to make it greasy?
I’ve been using the Obagi sun shield MATTE spectrum 50 for years and liked it because it didn’t leave my skin oily and shiny yet it protected my skin. But this one I got from Lovely skin is so oily that it’s hard to remove it off my hands and it leaves my face super shiny and oily. It’s supposed to be matte finish. I don’t know if they changed the formula or it was a bad batch. Unfortunately I bought 2 and might have to toss both of them out or just use it under my mask.

This one of the most horrible sunscreens I have ever tried. And believe me I have tried a lot of professional brands but it sucks. It is gritty. Why are there tiny balls rubbing against your skin. Anyone who has sensitive skin, using Retin A, done professional peels , laser etc, this is not for you. The balls feel irritating against your skin also leaves a white cast.

This sunscreen is not what it used to be. It used to be creamy but not heavy on the skin, no white cast and it had a very nice finish. Now it is grainy and scratchy, unpleasant to apply. I do not recommend this to anyone

I have ordered this sunscreen for years and absolutely loved it. Recently purchased two tubes of the sunscreen and can't use either one. They feel 'grainy' like there is sand or some time of granules inside. They were both sealed completed, so not sure what the problem is with this batch of Obagi Sun Shields. Very disappointed.

I used to love this product until they changed the formula! It’s gritty and feels like I’m applying dry dirt to my face! Although some have said it goes away after application, I do not find that to be the case. It feels like I have to brush my face afterwards to get rid of the granules that stay on my skin. Something is Off
Something is off with this product. I have now tried 3 different bottles but they are all grainy and gritty and it feels like a scrub on your face. This is not the way this product is supposed to feel. Apparently there is a lot of defective product out there in the marketplace. I called Obagi and was told that the product was not supposed to feel this way. They have been great about sending a replacement but at this point, I am seriously wondering if it will change back or not. Something happened in the manufacturing these past few months and until I am sure that the product is back to normal I am going to find a new sunscreen. Both the replacements from Lovely skin and from Obagi direct were defective. Obagi really needs to pull this off the market until they can assure their customers they will receive a quality product.
