I’ve used retinol for 1.6 years. Switched from a low dose to this strength. Have gone through 2 tubes. My skin had gotten worse - more lines especially. I use a lot of moisturizers and hyaluronic acids. Apparently retinol is not for everyone.

I decided to try the more expensive Obagi brand (over Oil of Olay) and see if it made a difference. After 3 weeks, I haven't noticed that it works any better than my drugstore brands. I've also tried a more expensive brand's Retinol and haven't noticed a difference between this and that one. It is gentle; hasn't bothered my skin at all - caused redness or dryness. No odor.

I have only been using this cream for a week and have been on another retinol cream for years, so I do not expect to notice much difference in my skin. BUT the container is horrible. It is only 1 ounce which is a small amount. And WORSE, the pump is not good. When I press it, I have to use more force than should be needed and the cream is starting to be pushed out near the bottom of pump cap. It wastes product and is just overall not an enjoyable experience to use.
