Had been so hopeful
I am 64 years old and have oily skin. I had been so hopeful that this would mattify and last. Unfortunately, I am oily, makeup globbed in 2 hours. I hope it works for others. Just not a solution for me.

OC8 Mattifying Gel
My dermatologist recommended this to me to see if it would help with oily skin, so I could try to start wearing makeup again and I came home and purchased it. So far, it has not helped. My skin is still oily. I am not very satisfied with it.

Matte look doesn't last long
I feel like the mattifying gel didn't do what I had hoped for. As soon as I applied it, my skin was matte and then throughout the day, my face would become super oily. Even after maybe 20 minutes after application, my skin felt like there was a sticky film on my face, then, I would look in the mirror and it would look glossy as the day light hit my face where I applied the gel. I personally don't use it anymore, and now, I'm still stuck with a full tube of the stuff.

Sadly didn’t work.
My dermatologist gave me Veltin to deal with my hormonal acne and while that worked beautifully for my skin it left me a oily mess. Having to use oil sheets every 2 Hours on a slicked up face was very discouraging, so I was then told to buy OC8. It was the first layer I applied after my water based toner to make sure it was effective, but nothing could help my case. I don’t recommend this product to those who are currently going through a prescription topical or oral medication that leads to a oily face. I also don’t think I’ll be good for those with a skin barrier that’s been compromised and with that said I’ll just have to deal or find another method sadly.
