I purchased this product after researching how to reduce/eliminate hyperpigmentation on sensitive facial skin. I have freckles and have had a laser treatment on my cheek. years ago but still have dark spots post pregnancy. The pamphlet states that the product is used as a spot treatment and will brighten the skin. PCA gel contains kojic, azelaic, and lactic acids plus an ingredient to help even skin tone. I have used this product in the evening after cleansing and before using a retinal, yes retinal. It has been 2 weeks since starting product use and it appears that there is a slight improvement in the color of the dark spots. Time will tell if there is “dramatic, visible results.”

This is a fairly nice serum. Slightly sticky when first applied but that's not a problem when followed by other serums, treatments, moisturizers. While I just started my second bottle, I can only give it 3 stars at this time because I have not seen any visible results insofar as dark spots fading or skin tone evening. Even HQ takes months to see actual results so I expect this to take even longer. But I'll stick with it because, well, its from PCA and all their other products are excellent so I expect this to eventually work.
