This shampoo is very good at maintaining the level of color you have in your hair; however, I rated it a 4-star due to it has zero volumizing effect and my hair is quite fly-away after all is said and done (which may have to do with the matching conditioner). It seems like a great shampoo AND conditioner if the only issue you have is to save your color. If you have various other issues (like flat hair, split ends, etc.) this isn't the pair for you it isn't for me. Thank you.

I started using this shampoo and conditioner a few years ago and my hairdresser asked what did I do to my hair? She was familiar with my hair. I have fine straight hair which necessitates adding texturizing products to give volume and texture to my hair. She told me that my hair now had a wave in it and was thicker and shinier than she had ever seen it. I told her that the only change was that I had this new shampoo. She laughed and said no shampoo can put a wave in straight hair. I didn''t say anything but several cuts later she would ask again what did I do to my hair? The only difference was the shampoo.
