Don't Love It Like the Original Acne Product called Silymarin CF Acne Serum
I was looking forward to ordering a bottle of the original Silymarin CF Acne Serum but unfortunately it is now available as Silymarin CF Vitamin C Serum. I'm currently using a Vitamin C product from another manufacturer that I love using during the day. To spend another $100 to include Vitamin C that I already wasn't practical. I believe this product maybe helping with my blemishes but it's so soon to tell as I only used it twice. It's a little too sticky to wear during the day with my other products and it doesn't absorb well. I can see a sticky residue, which is why I only apply at night time. I hope SkinCeuticals will supply the original Silymarin CF Acne Serum without the Vitamin C in the very near future.

Gentle product, not sure how well it works
I was excited to try this serum since I've had some success with BHA/salicylic acid skincare in the past. However, to my surprise, I couldn't really see any difference after several weeks. Perhaps this is just gentler than the past salicylic acid products I've used in the past, and I need to give it more time? In any case, I'll keep using it until the bottle's empty, but the jury's still out. It definitely hasn't wowed me like the SkinCeuticals Vitamin C serum did.

Been using for a few weeks now. Started using twice a week. Got the equivalent of a chemical peel, unfortunately it was in the middle of the week and was quite a surprise in the middle of the work day. Need to pile on HA serum in the morning with SPF moisturizer & Ka hydrator at night to maintain use twice a week and not resemble the walking dead (the peeling was a bit much for someone that has no experience with peels). My skin type is t-zone acne prone, pretty sensitive, combination, and I really try to minimize the number of items in my routine & product I use on my face.

The SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense Serum is pretty good. I've been using it for 5 months now after completely switching up my acne skin care routine (that previously took me 6 months to see any results). I felt the burning on my face after applying this for the first few weeks but it did go away in time. It has a nice spreadable consistency but the dropper has a flat tip instead of pointed one which can make this just a little messy. My skin is very acne prone especially in the T-zone (I'm talking 5-8 pimples at a time, not the occasional breakout) and I've been only recently been seeing some results with my skin, but I am unsure if I can completely attribute it to this product. I will continue use for a few more months before I make the final judgement and decide if I should use this in the long term. Though so far so good, for sure this product did not make my acne any worse.

To be honest, I havent seen much difference and am a little disappointed. By the smell of the product I can tell its very strong and potent and definitely seems that it would dry up acne on other people, never irritated my skin though. I was hoping that using this product would get rid of my acne which I started to develop more of since I stopped birth control, but so far it hasn't made huge improvements so far. I've only used it for about 2 months now and about twice a day. I'm going to continue to use it since It does feel comfortable on my face and it doesn't over dry it. And it's possible I could have developed more if I wasn't using it. However, I don't think it is as strong and effective as I would prefer.
