I have been religiously using the product for over two months now, and have not really seen a noticeable difference. I recommend you see your dermatologist for dark spots and see what they can do.

Skinceutical Discoloration Defense
I have Melasma mostly on my forehead and upper lip and some small patches on my cheeks. I started using this in early September and have not noticed any lightening of even the small patches and spots. It is to be applied AM and PM so the bottle runs out quickly. Perhaps it takes a little longer than 4 months of using it, but I can't justify buying it again as it is rather pricey considering I saw no results.

I am not sure about this product
This product may be a bit too strong for sensitive skin. I have used it in the trial packet for a few days and my skin became red where I applied it.

Great beginning
I received a sample, that I chose, then hesitated to try it, afraid it might be too strong for my skin. I am 75 years old and as much as I love my SkinCeuticals products, and I use a lot of them, I waited, finally trying it and it worked great, no redness, no irritation, after completing the sample I ordered a bottle and plan to start it on daily basis as soon as my prior serum runs out, probably another couple of weeks. I am hoping it will even out my skin, fading spots and discoloration which is why I am trying it. Will keep you posted!

Not SkinCeuticals' Best
SkinCeuticals is a FANTASTIC line so please don't be deterred by my 3 stars for this particular product. The Discoloration Defense is newer to the link and the viscosity is thicker than some of the other serums. Having oily skin I feel the Discoloration Defense is a little much in layering process for my skin, even in the winter. I am going back to Phloretin CF which also has discoloration alleviating ingredients and is thinner.

Not my favorite
I purchased this product in an attempt to lighten my melasma spots - they’re particularly bad this year (even with regular sunscreen application!). I’ve been using it as directed for 3-4 weeks now & haven’t noticed any improvement. Given that my spots are darker than usual - I know that it may take a little longer to improve but so far, I’m not too excited about the product given its claims to show improvement in 2 weeks & its price point. I’ve tried other products that were more effective within this timeframe.

For the price, I expected to see some brown spots fade; I really haven't noticed a dramatic difference. It does help with overall skin tone, however.

SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense
This product really works but is somewhat harsh on my extremely sensitive skin. I use it in conjunction with CeFerulic, but cannot use the discoloration defense on a daily basis. I use it once every 3-4 days. This may cause it to work slower than it would for someone whose skin can tolerate everyday use.

Mild Results
I have been using the SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense for about 2 months. I have seen a mild lightening of the dark areas on my cheeks. The product felt very tacky, which I do not like. I felt it sat on the surface of my skin and did not penetrate it. Possibly used too much resulting in sticky feel? I will not be purchasing another bottle of this product.

Still not sure
I purchased this product when it first came out, and I have now gone through 3 bottles of it. It does make your skin tone look bright and fresh, but I have noticed no change in dark spots that I have on the side of my face. I use it religiously twice per day. I would say that if you want a brightening serum then this is great, but don't expect it to noticeably fade dark spots.

Not sure!
I've been using it for a while. Have not finished the bottle, but have not noticed any improvement. I have melasma and may be this is not the product for me. I'll continue until the bottle is finished and review later. I really hope it works.
