Good product - unsure if working yet
I really like the texture of this product. I like it more than the liquid version, as it is less greasy and spreads easily. It is too soon to tell after about 4 weeks of use whether or not it is really lightening my areas of discoloration (largely the result of sun exposure over the years) on my forehead and cheeks, but it certainly isn’t making them worse. It also hasn’t caused my acne rosacea to flare - definitely a plus. For the price, I really hope that I will eventually see a notable difference over time.

Smell is off putting
I am a fan of the phloretin serum. I decided to try to gel because it would be easier to travel with in a metal pump canister. It is easier to apply as it doesn’t dry as quickly as the serum. Unfortunately I find the smell unpleasant. It’s almost a smoky, firepit odor that is strong. The serum also has an odor but milder than the gel. The upside of the gel is that the canister is opaque which probably helps preserve it. But I’m going back to the serum when I’m done with this.

I have used the Phloretin CF as a serum regularly, but I decided to give the gel a try. I have combination oily skin and am prone to acne. The CF gel is not sticky, as a matter of fact it smoothes on quite nicely. If you are pairing this with the HA Intensifier, I would suggest the CF gel over the serum. The only drawback I would say is because the gel is in a opaque bottle, you cannot see how much you have left at any given time.

This one is by far my favorite! I like that the application formula is a gel based product, and it is stored in an airtight pump container. When I used the dropper bottles, I noticed that the vitamin C would oxidate quicker overtime, and it was harder to apply for me, so I now prefer this gel! It also has helped the appearance of my skin to become brighter and diminish the appearance of some brown spots. Highly recommend!!
