Having tried the new SkinMedica cream cleanser and having my poor MGD eyes burn. I purchased this, saw the online video last month, they are not lying . I have sensitive skin and extreme sun damage from living and vacationing on the beach for decades. Had melanoma. This is my second time purchasing the Skinceuticals Purifying Cleansing Gel. My skin feels great after washing with this cleanser. It exfoliates, but is mild. My face is very smooth when I use it. Do not like the smell
I purchased it thinking that it will have the same smell as a cream cleanser. I was very mistaken! To me this has a medicated smell which does not make a pleasant experience when using it. I am used to aromatherapeutic smells when washing my face, so I do not enjoy using it. It removes some makeup, but not completely.

This formula is very thin and runny. It feels watery and smells a bit like a pool too. There is minimal lather, even when emulsifying vigorously between the hands. I needed to double cleanse to remove all of the day's oils/makeup/spf. It doesn't dry out my skin or make it feel tight though!
