Reviews For SkinCeuticals Sheer Physical UV Defense Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50
Stung
I wanted to try this because it was recommended to me by a few people but it stung my face pretty bad. I tried it for about two weeks hoping it would get better and sometimes it stung less than other times but it always stung. Bummer.

White cast
I like the way it feels and settles under makeup, however it leaves a white cast on me. I have ordered the tinted one to try instead.

Very shiny/greasy appearance - Definitely not a matte finish
I'm definitely a fan of SkinCeuticals products! However, to me, this product is not as described as it creates a shiny/greasy appearance on my fair skin. On a positive note, the sunscreen itself is a bit liquid and goes on well. I was excited to buy this as a post-procedure sunscreen as I simply cannot tolerate the highly recommended and popular sunscreen my doctor recommended. Anyway, if I had not missed my return window due to my intensive procedure, I would've definitely returned it and purchased another sunscreen from LovelySkin.

Too shear
I liked the original sunscreen which was discontinued! This does not have the consistency as the other sunscreen. So sheer it will leave a white residue on your face. I hope they bring back the original, as I don’t know why it was discontinued. Very disappointed. Had I known they were going to discontinue it, I would have bought more!

Beware - white cast
I got this untinted sunscreen for my boyfriend and couldn't help but laugh after he applied it. He is white with fair skin and looked like a ghost after application. After being in the sun and sweating some, he looked even more ridiculous as he was caked in a white "cast." I couldn't stop laughing. I can't imagine how awful this would look on a darker skinned person. I think this sunscreen would be fine if you don't care at all about how you look (working in the backyard or something), but there are definitely cheaper mineral sunscreen options. I definitely prefer the tinted version for myself and will probably use the remainder of this bottle on my hands and arms.

Disappointing Results
I purchased this sunscreen based on numerous glowing reviews. I was looking for a reef-safe, all mineral sunscreen that did not leave a white caste and performed well under makeup. I thought it was quite expensive for the amount of product, but decided it would be worth the price if it performed well. Unfortunately for me, this sunscreen does not fully absorb into my skin. I’ve tried a light application and still - I get a white caste. I also get texture; the sunscreen emphasizes texture. I’ve tried 2x to wear foundation over it and the texture gets way worse and the foundation breaks down throughout the day. My prep includes HA5 and moisturizer so this isn’t for lack of proper prep. Sadly, I can only wear this on makeup free days.

Not impressed
I heard so many good things about this and finally bought it but ended up disappointed. Not because of lack of protection but on me it left a white cast that I felt made me look sick. I was also hoping for more of a moisturizing feel when this to me felt more like a primer...silicony. I also purchased Colorescience Sunforgettable at the same time and love that one.

Whitish
Not as bad as other physical sunscreens, but still leaves a whitish cast. Also seems to feel oilier than the tinted one by SkinCeuticals. Going to send back
