After receiving g a sample of this product I went ahead and purchased the full-sized version. I have mature acne-prone skin and it does not break me out and it seems to be preventing new breakouts. I’ve only been using it a couple of weeks and so far can not detect any “skin brightening” effects, but maybe that will be evident with longer use.

Great Vitamin C for Acne Prone Skin
I am a loyal fan of SkinCeuticals Vitamin C serums. I use only SkinCeuticals after having tried all different brands on the market. My teenage daughter, age 18 suffers from hormonal acne. While she is being treated by a dermatologist, she is somewhat of a skin care junkie like me. She takes amazing care of her skin. She started using a drug store brand vitamin C a long time ago. I had read that some vitamin C is not good for people with acne. Just about that time, I received a mailer about SkinCeuticals Silymarin CF Vitamin C Serum from Lovely Skin. I usually don't buy my daughter such expensive skin care products, but she was depressed about her acne so I splurged. Her skin looks so clear and amazing. She had some dark scars on her cheeks that some boys at school asked her what was wrong with her face which mortified her. They are completely healed and gone! I’ve only been using Silymarin CF for two weeks, but so far so good. I have oily, acne prone and sensitive skin at 42. I was previously using CE Ferulic, but wanted to try Silymarin CF, I was concerned the Silymarin would be to harsh on my sensitive skin, but I have not had any issues. I’m happy with the product.

I’ve tried the original SkinCeuticals Ferulic CE & was not a fan. This new version sounded promising as I’m someone with oily breakout prone skin (maskne). It’s been close to a month and so far this hasn’t done much for my pigment but it’s done wonders to make breakouts disappear and shrink my pores. My shine remains at bay through the day which is amazing! I’ll keep using this.

Great vitamin C for acne prone skin
Only been using this for a month but so far so good! I have horrible hormonal acne. I recently went off the pill (birth control was the only thing to cure my acne) and was afraid I was going to break out. I started using Silymarin CF Vitamin C Serum and have only had one zit. Used it morning all over and at night only on my zit. Worked like a charm without over drying. Love this product!

With wearing masks all day at work, I've been breaking out and haven't used the regular SkinCeuticals Vit C as much. The Silymarin CF doesn't have as strong of a smell and I can still get my Vit C in. I recommend this if your skin is prone to breakouts and still want the benefits of Vit C. Great product for reducing acne!
My 17 year old daughter has struggled with acne since 15 and has been on accutane as well as other RX acne treatments. Her complexion was getting bad again and I got this as a last hope since going through another round of accutane was not an option. Boy was I surprised. She has been using it every other night for 2 weeks and it has made a huge difference. We combined this and a blue light acne treatment from the LovelySkin website and her face is clearing so much!
