I originally was going to return this product because I thought I was ordering something else. I read the purpose of the product and felt it was more geared toward acne than the vitamin C I was wanting. I am 51 and believe it or not, still have acne. So frustrating. Better than the CE Ferulic for my skin
I was using the SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic serum for many months and liked the results, but when I was going to purchase another one, I decided to first look into the different vitamin C serums that SkinCeuticals had to offer, and I am so glad that I did. I have oily / sensitive / acne-prone skin and although the CE Ferulic was great, I saw that it was better for dry skin and the Silymarin one would be better for my type of skin. Since my skin is sensitive and I don't struggle with active acne, I was a little nervous that the added salicylic acid would be too irritating, but after using the Silymarin CF for some weeks, I find that it doesn't irritate my skin and I like that does not feel too heavy on my skin like the CE Ferulic did. I do also have some hyperpigmentation on my skin, am I am curious how the phloretin would work for my skin as well. Still debating if I'll try that one after I finish the Silymarin bottle.
