I Was Surprised
When I first got the SkinMedica HA5 Hydra Collagen moisturizer I was surprised because I expected my skin to feel like I had applied a heavy moisturizer. My moisturized skin felt drier than expected. I was disappointed. HOWEVER, I discovered that it makes the PERFECT under foundation moisturizer. As I put on my makeup, I noticed how easy it was to apply the foundation—without any pilling. My skin looked great! The name of the product (HA 5 Water Burst) could cause others to expect a heavier moisturizer. I am a person with dry skin, and for the days I wear makeup, this product is the perfect choice.

This cream comes in a nice glass container with a metal spatula, but it doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do. The texture is very nice and glides easily on the skin with no fragrance but unfortunately dries out fast and made my skin very dry. It also broke me out and I am not acne prone. I think this cream might be good for oily skin only.

My skin is oily type but it feels like it needs more moisture. Lovely skin sent me a generous sample of HA5 hydra collagen water burst moisturizer. The minute it touched my skin, it felt cooled and felt so good. I was able to try it out with the sample for a week to see if i get blackheads or acne from using it. Turned out it was save. I even get less blackheads. I like the container since i dont need to squeeze it out.

Too light for winter
I love the HA5 serum from this brand and thought I would try this. It is very gel like and light. Since we’re in winter, I feel like I need something more moisturizing although it does give a dewy hydrating look. I can see myself enjoying this more in the summer humid months. For a daily moisturizer, I think the rejuvenative that I was using from this brand is more moisturizing and I will probably stick with that. But this is not a bad option.
