After 2-3 applications (night only), my skin started peeling around my mouth and nose. I started using less and moisturizing and it came under control. I'm taking the peeling as a good sign that it's effective against dark spots. My melasma is severe and the only thing that works for me is very expensive dermatologist-administered treatment, but I'm betting on this serum to delay the return of the discoloration and allow me to go longer between treatments.
