Reviews For SkinMedica LYTERA 2.0 Pigment Correcting Serum
1 month in mediocre
I will give this another 8 weeks and see if I can change my review. Very mild changes. Nothing crazy.

jury is out
Didn't see much result, maybe need to go through one more bottle but the price point put me off from trying again

Too early
So far my skin is not irritated, but it’s to early to review if dark spots are fading. Will review again once I have finished the bottle.

So far, so-so
Been using Lytera 2.0 for 3 weeks and so far have seen no change in skin pigmentation. My aesthetician told me to continue with it because it can take a long time to show results. I’ve been happy with other SkinMedica products I’ve used so, hopefully I’ll see some results.

Disappointing so far
I had high hopes for this based on favorable reviews and have used it faithfully morning and night for about 3 to 4 weeks. So far, I see little change in my dark spots. I plan to continue to use it and hope that the difference becomes more noticeable.

A little disappointing
Haven't really seen any results. It does make skin feel soft though.

Need More Time
Although I really love the texture and feel of the serum, it is too soon to tell if it’s really working. I feel like I’m still seeing new freckles popping up each day.

Expensive for limited results.
I have used every brightening/lightening product on the market. I have used products that have provided MUCH better results for less money, however those products contained high amounts of chemicals and are only good for short term use. Lytera is very expensive abs the results are almost not noticeable, but I do think it helps the overall texture of my skin and my dark spots have not gotten worse, so that’s good. This product is something that will need to be used forever. It’s not a quick fix. It’s an investment. I hope it’s worth it in the long run.

Melasma
It is too early for me to give a review I only been using the Lytera 2.0 for only three weeks now and have not seen any results. However I will give an update once I see a change I will stay positive.

LYTERA 2.0 Pigment Correcting Serum
Not sure if it actually helped lightening any pigmentation at all so I didn't order another after I finished the first bottle.

Mixed results after 8 months
I used to use a prescription tretinoin+hydroquinone formula for dark spots. I was not totally spot-free, but I stopped after 4 months to give my skin a break from the harshness of the product. I switched to plain tretinoin at night and added Lytera. Initially, I had some minor stinging from Lytera, so I used it morning-only for a few months. It layered seamlessly with my other skincare products. It has no scent, which is great! It seemed to keep the faded dark spots from returning. When my skin became less sensitive to the Lytera, I started using it 2x/day as directed. Strangely, my small faded dark spots started to return. It could be that they were going to return regardless after stopping the Rx hydroquinone, but it happened to coincide with the timing of when I started using Lytera 2x/day. In any case, it doesn't seem to be working for me anymore, 8 months after I started.

Unsure if it's working
I have been using this serum for several months now and I think it has made some difference but it works very slowly.

Still hopeful
I have been using this for about 4 weeks and I haven't seen any significant results. I am a huge SkinMedica fan but the jury is out on this product. I have started using this on my hands so I will see what happens. My hands need help. This is a pricey item but I am willing to pay if it works. My fingers are crossed.

mild results
I got this product as a part of a gift and have been using to try and reduce spots around my brow line. I think it might have made them a little better, but it's hard to tell. It's not a panacea. I wouldn't spend the money on this given the so-so results.

Oily
Makes my oily skin oilier and also didn't do much for my melasma. Have used it for 3 months.

Might not be enough time yet
I've been using this for 2 months according to recommended protocol with Retinol complex, the latter I've been using for a year. Skin is brighter, but the slight melasma I have has not really changed.

It did even out my skin tone a little bit

Not enough for my melasma
For me, I got this to use when I am taking a break from Obagi. It just didn’t work well enough for me. My melasma is pretty bad, and this didn’t work well enough to keep my spots away. Alas, I am back on Obagi.
