Excellent quality, but still on the fence
I adore everything I’ve tried from SkinMedica, but this is the one product that is not instant love for me. It is a very slippery silicone-based vitamin C, and I can’t tell if it is really absorbing into my skin. I usually use a liquid L-Asorbic vitamin C, say serums like SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic. The SkinMedica is much different. The pump dispenser is amazing, very hygienic. Much easier to use than liquid dropper vitamin C. However, it just glides over my face - to the point that I’m not sure that the actual vitamin C is being absorbed by my skin. That said, one time after using this, I did have a bit of a reaction to it. Nothing bad, just flushing. So, I do think the actual vitamin C is in true contact with my skin. But, there is one more but: because of the high silicon content in this, I have had some pilling beneath other products. I usually apply vitamin C as my first or second layer of skin care, but while this silicon-heavy format may feel light, it could be prone to balling up. I want to love this serum! Maybe I just need more time with it.

Nice alternative to Skinceuticals
I purchased the SkinMedica Vitamin C+E serum since it is less expensive than the Skinceuticals CE Ferulic. I like it better because it comes in a pump dispenser so less air is allowed into the bottle causing oxidation and it is formulated without water so it makes it more stable. I'm not sure how effective it is compared to the Skinceuticals so time will tell. I like the silicone-like texture instead of a watery serum; it is odorless, not grainy and not sticky.

I like that it is dispensed from a pump and I have never had problems with it. You can unscrew the lid when it gets to the bottom and take a Q-tip to get any remaining serum/cream.
