It contains synthetic urea that works to treat or prevent dry, rough, scaly, itchy skin. I've been using Sothys for a long time as my esthetician carries this product line in her shop. I used to have smaller bottle of it and I am glad that it is in a larger size and it will last longer. You do not need a whole lot to get very good results. I would follow the directions and read how to gently massage the cream into eyes and around the lips.
