The Vanicream gentle facial cleanser is just what it says, "a gentle facial cleanser." I have sensitive skin, especially my face and neck area. Over the years, my regular MD had provided me with different creams and I purchased several over the counter facial cleanser and moisturizing products that only irritated my skin more. After one visit to a Dermatologist, I was diagnosed with dermatitis and recommended to start using Vanicream z-bar or gentle facial cleanser to treat it and healthily clean my face and neck area. It cleared up the skin condition and has evened out my skin tone. I recommend this cleanser to anyone that is suffering with dermatitis.

So gentle but feels luxurious
I have tried all the recommended inexpensive, gentle cleansers and always felt like they left a film on my face or didn't really remove makeup. Not this one, it actually foams up and feels clean but does not dry my skin at all, even in the dead of winter. I do have to use make-up remover for mascara but that is to be expected. I used to rotate through many cleansers but now this is my one and only.

I just don’t like this cleanser. Instead of being gentle it has aggravated my skin and I don’t get the clean feel I like. I have very oily skin especially T zone area and my nose still feels ‘gummy’ is the only way I can think to describe it. A waste for me.
