I have always really loved the original HA5 for its fantastic all day hydrating properties, and felt it was just a game changer for dry skin issues. Honestly, I figured this product could not get any better. The newer HA5 Hydro Collagen Replenish in the light blue bottle, though , is even better. One pump seems to go so much further for me, and the formula absorbs a bit quicker. I feel like I use less product in its newer form, but am able to cover more skin surface. The results leave my skin feeling moisturized all day-even during cold winter months. I will continue to use this product.

I have used SkinMedica for many years. One of my staple products has been SkinMedica HA5. When this new HA5 product came out I was excited to try it. I'm sure it's a great product, as are all SkinMedica products, however I cannot get over the smell. It's quite off putting to me. For this fact alone I don't think I'll be ordering it again. Hopefully they don't discontinue the older HA5 product as often happens with the introduction of a "new and improved" version. Fix the smell and I'll try it again.

I tried this after using the original HA 5 for several years. This new formula is a different consistency, more like a serum than a moisturizer. I find that I need to apply a moisturizer on top in order to get the results I want. It’s too early for me to tell if I prefer this one or the original formula.
