Pyrithione zinc is best known for its use in treating dandruff. It also has antibacterial properties, and is effective in treating psoriasis, eczema, ringworm, fungus, athlete's foot and dry skin.
For best results, use at least twice a week on affected areas in place of regular soap. Work up a rich lather using warm water and gently massage into affected areas on the face, body and scalp. Rinse well.

The Vanicream Zinc Bar doesn't have additives that contribute to skin sensitivities. It clears up and prevents acne and redness. I use this bar as a mask, too. I won't cleanse with anything else.

I bought the Vanicream Z-Bar per my dermatologist's recommendation and it was truly life-changing. I have facial dermatitis and for 20 years I would get frequent flare-ups that had to be treated with a steroidal cream. She told me to use this soap and I should see better results and not have to use the cream as often since it is not a good idea to use it on a regular basis over a long period of time. I started using the soap a year ago and I don't get the flare-ups any longer. I use it daily in the shower and leave it on for a few minutes. The best thing is using it daily I've only used two bars in a year! My face feels great and I only use the cream very seldom. My dermatologist was surprised to see and hear about the vast improvement. If you have facial dermatitis you should definitely use this soap and see what good results you'll get.

It's an adequate zinc soap that can help ease some of the issues that come along with the above mentioned conditions. It turns out, my issue was an allergy to sulfates, so I eliminated those from my shampoo and face wash and that did the trick! I believe this did help a little as it does have some antibacterial properties to it!
