Melt-Proof Makeup

Hi guys! Welcome back. I’m Kristen, an aesthetician here at LovelySkin and on today’s tutorial we’re going to be talking about how to give yourself the perfect melt-proof makeup. So keeping your makeup in place on summer days can be a challenge just because of all the humidity and the heat in the air, but if you follow these simple steps, then you’ll be just fine.

Okay so the first step is going to be to find a great primer. You want to make sure that it’s going to keep everything mattified, shine control. My favorite one that I love to use is the Youngblood, it’s the Mineral Primer. The minerals help keep the shine down so it’s perfect to use for this time of year.

So now moving over to a good foundation. The one that I love to use is the jane iredale BB cream, it’s the Glow Time. It’s going to be a liquid foundation so it’s not going to cake throughout the day like the powder would.

So a lot of people have problems with their eyeliners smudging or fading throughout the day. Also their powder eyeshadows caking throughout the day. You want to go with more of a gel style for both. So the one that I love to use is going to be the Youngblood, it’s just the Gel Liner, super simple to put on just like a normal pencil. You would just get a brush for that. And then another perfect eyeshadow look, it’s the Eye Shere by jane iredale. You just use it like you would a normal powder eyeshadow but this way it’s not going to cake throughout the day like a powder.

So continuing on with this same concept for the blush. You want to use more of a gel or a cream versus the powder. This way it’s not going to cake throughout the day and it’s just going to stay on flawlessly. So the one that I love to use is going to be the Youngblood, it’s the Luminous Crème Blush. Super simple to use. You just put it on like a normal blush, typically with your fingers, and then it’ll just turn into like a powder.

So the last step is to find a hydration spray. This is what’s going to set your entire look. My favorite one that I love to use is going to be the glo minerals, it’s the Revive Hydration Spray. You just spritz it all over your face once you’re done with your look and then it will set your look for the entire day.
