Learn the tricks to preparing your skin for in-office procedures.
Hi, I’m Shamina with LovelySkin.com. Prior to undergoing any type of in-office procedure, there are a few important things to remember.
When preparing for your procedure, make sure you have no open or healing wounds in the treatment area. You want the skin being treated to be completely healthy.
Avoid prolonged sun exposure as sunburns can prevent you from receiving treatment.
Don’t schedule any additional procedures before your visit that may affect the treatment area. This can include peels, microdermabrasion and injections.
Finally, take care of your skin in the weeks leading up to your appointment. Make sure it’s hydrated, healthy and in great shape. It can be beneficial to include a vitamin K treatment in your routine to strengthen your blood vessels and prevent severe bruising.
