Transform Yourself into the Queen of Hearts this Halloween

Easy Halloween Makeup: Queen of Hearts

Nothing is worse than realizing on October 31 that you don’t have a Halloween costume prepared. A quick and easy makeup look is the answer to this dilemma. With just a few makeup products, Rachel transforms herself into the Queen of Hearts for a fun Halloween costume. Follow these steps to get the look.

Apply your foundation and concealer as you normally would and make sure to cover your lips since you’ll be drawing them in later. To create this Halloween look, you’ll only need three shadows. Use a light white or cream shadow such as jane iredale PurePressed Eye Shadow in Oyster to create the base by applying it all over the lid. Blend a red eyeshadow, or a blush such as Youngblood Pressed Mineral Blush in Temptress, into and slightly above the crease. Finish with a dark brown shade such as jane iredale PurePressed Eye Shadow in Espresso on the outer V of the lid. Blend all three shadows together with a fluffy brush to get rid of any harsh lines.

Use your favorite black liquid liner, Rachel is using stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Liner in Black, to line the upper lash line. Take the wing out to create a sleek cat eye and make it as dramatic as you like. Finish the eyes with a coat of black mascara.

You’ll want to create a heart shape on the lips with a liner. Use Youngblood Lipliner Pencil in Truly Red to create the shape by slightly exaggerating the cupid’s bow and then bringing the color down to the center of the bottom lip. Leave the outer edges of the top and bottom lips free of color. Fill in the shape with a bold red lipstick. Rachel is using glo minerals GloLip Stick in Vixen.

Take the look to the next level by creating hearts on the cheeks with your blush. Hold a heart stencil onto the apples of your cheeks. Using the same powder blush as before and a big fluffy brush, fill in the heart shape. Remove the stencil to reveal a heart shape right where your blush should be.
