Learn How to Create an Easy Cat Makeup Look for Halloween

Easy Halloween Makeup: Cat

Halloween is creeping ever closer. If coming up with a costume idea has been a little tricky, you’re in for a treat. In today’s Halloween makeup tutorial, Alonna, one of LovelySkin’s web designers, will show you how to create a classic cat eye look that’s just “purr”fect for Halloween.

Before drawing on your feline face, start by creating an even base for your makeup. Apply your favorite primer, foundation and concealer for a flawless canvas for your Halloween look.

Add some spooky sultriness with a smoky eye. Start by applying glo minerals GloLid Primer to your eyelids and the area under your eyes to help your look last all Halloween. Youngblood Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad – Starlet contains four shades for your smoky cat eye. Sweep the dark gray from your lashes to the crease. Apply the white shadow from the crease of your eye to your eyebrow. Where the gray and white meet at the crease of your eye, blend in the black shadow to add depth to your look. Finally, add the lighter shade of gray to the center of your eyelid right above the lash line. Gently smudge your shadows for spooky smokiness.

To add definition to your eyes, use stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Black to line your lashes. Create a classic cat eye but extend the wing on the outer corner of your eyes a little farther than you normally would to add some extra drama. Use the darkest shade of Youngblood Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad – Starlet directly under your lower lash line and smudge to create shadows under your eyes. For the total cat effect, use stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner to add wings to the inner corners of your eyes as well. Then swipe on Youngblood Outrageous Lashes Mineral Lengthening Mascara for fuller, more defined lashes.

Now it’s time to add a feline flare. Draw a heart shape on the tip of your nose with stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner. Dip a flat eyeliner brush into glo minerals GloCream Eye Liner in Ebony to fill in the shape of your cute cat nose.

To create the illusion of a cat’s snout, brush the lightest shade of Youngblood Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad – Starlet on the area just above your lips. Use stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner to draw a line from the middle of your nose to the top of your upper lip. Add some dots on either side of your line, and draw in a set of whiskers.

Use glominerals GloPrecision Eye Pencil in Black to line your lips and fill in your upper lip. Add a pop of color to your lower lip with jane iredale Lip Fixation Lip Stain in Passion. Pair your easy makeup look with an all-black outfit, a pair of ears and a cat tail. You’ll be all set for a frightfully fun Halloween.
