If you’re in need of a last-minute Halloween makeup look, this scarecrow costume is both fun and festive. Follow this step-by-step video to create this simple costume with everyday makeup products.
After you’ve applied your favorite foundation, use a pretty orange eyeshadow to fill in your entire lid. We used jane iredale PurePressed Eye Shadow in Peach Sherbet. Next, use a black eyeliner pencil like bareMinerals Lasting Line Long-Wearing Eyeliner in Absolute Black to line your upper and lower lashlines.
Using a gel liner todraw in long lower eyelashes in varying lengths on both eyes. Don’t worry about the lashes matching on both sides. For extra definition, go over the top of the gel liner with a liquid liner. Finish with two coats of volumizing mascara. For this look, we chose bareMinerals Lash Domination Volumizing Mascara.
Next apply the scarecrow patch on your nose. Using a pinkish orange lip liner like bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lip Liner in Energized, draw a teardrop shape on your nose and fill in with the liner. Then, apply a pink or orange eyeshadow over the lip liner to make the color pop. With your black eyeliner pencil, outline the patch on your nose and draw small stitches through the line to give the look of a sewn-on patch.
Then, take the lip liner once again, draw a circle on each cheek and fill in with the eyeliner. Again, use a pink or orange eyeshadow on top of the liner for a more vibrant color. Use the black liner pencil to outline the circles and add stitch marks.
Line your lips with an orange or red lip liner. For this look, we continued to use the same pinkish orange shade. Then, fill in your lips with a lipstick in a similar hue like bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Go the Distance. Using your black eyeliner, draw a line from the corners of your mouth out to your cheeks and add more stitches.
Pair this not-so-scary makeup with a straw hat, a flannel shirt and some overalls with hay stuffed in the pockets. Have fun!
