Part hair horizontally, leaving a layer of hair at the nape of the neck (about 1 inch thick) and secure the remainder of hair to the top of the head with a hair clip. Slowly slide flat iron over half-inch sections of hair from roots to tips. Once that layer is sufficiently straightened, release a new layer of hair from the clip. Repeat straightening process until all hair is straightened and styled.

The iron straightens frizzy hair well without damage. A design issue is the temperature dial, keeps moving while in use. I had to tape it to maintain a moderate setting. Other than that, it's a good product.
