I wasn’t expecting this product to be as hot as it is. My face is definitely red when I remove the masque after 5 minutes. I follow with the chamomile toner and that seems to settle things down. I love the results though. Skin is glowing and soft. On a side note, I found mixing this masque with the strawberry rhubarb masque and serum tones down the heat.

I like this mask a lot. It exfoliates very well, it's one of the best manual exfoliators I've used from any brand. It does tingle a little bit when I first put it on, but it doesn't sting, burn or cause redness. I apply it to damp skin, leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes and then rinse it off. You do need to rinse this very well. It's best to use it right before showering, that's the easiest way to remove all of it. I gave it 4 stars because I'm comparing it to the Eminence Citrus & Kale mask, which is the best one I've used so far. This one isn't as hydrating as the Citrus & Kale mask and I do need to apply a moisturizing mask after I've used it (That's probably because it does such a good job of exfoliating, if you have normal to oily skin it will probably be fine by itself). For reference I have mature, very dry skin. But really, you can't go wrong with any Eminence mask as long as you get the one appropriate for your skin type.

Make sure to use at night though because your face will be a deep red for several hours I steam my face prior to apply it to help with absorption..
