Dispense 1 small scoop of powder (about 1 teaspoon) into a small bowl. Gradually stir in a few drops of water until a whipped-mousse texture is achieved; recommended ratio is 4 parts powder to 3 parts water. Apply a thin layer to entire face, extend to neck and decollete as desired. Let dry 10 to 30 minutes.
Rinse with tepid water, massaging gently to exfoliate. A hot, tingling sensation lasting a few minutes is a natural response to this product. For milder stimulation, dilute with more water during application. The sensation will dissipate as the treatment dries down. Be cautious when removing the treatment as it will reactivate when water is reintroduced. Hot towels and steam will intensify the heat.

I love Eminence products, but this is my least favorite for a couple of reasons, most of which are my fault. I have done three treatments so far, and I can't seem to figure out how to get the texture described - 'whipped'? - and I have ended up smearing either a wet, gritty mess or a damp, sandy mess on my face to apply. In all applications I haven't really experienced any warming sensation, though my skin did look nice afterward - but cleaning the product off is difficult (as others have said, pre-shower masque!) and it does stain. I'm going to try to find a video before I do it again to see what the knack is for getting the texture right, but I am the kind of person who uses facial routines primarily for relaxation and self-soothing, and as someone who values simplicity, this wasn't a good choice for me.
