I purchased the lotion and shampoo together as I have been experiencing a dry scalp as well as hair loss over and above what is normal for me. The lotion used daily has helped with the dry scalp and it seems the hair loss has slowed down. What is nice is that the lotion is not oily nor does it leave a residue even though I use it daily.
