Cleanse the skin thoroughly before applying. Pump product once onto fingertip and apply evenly to entire face, avoiding the eyes, nose and mouth. Allow Therapeutic Lotion to absorb completely before applying CLENZIderm M.D. Therapeutic Moisturizer. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application per day. If going outside, use a sunscreen. Allow Obagi CLENZIderm MD Therapeutic Lotion to dry, then follow directions on the sunscreen labeling. Use once a day or as directed by your physician. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs reduce application to every other day.

I use this as a spot treatment on a blemish and usually within a day (or 2) it’s gone. If I have a bigger breakout I’ll use a thin layer after clenziderm face wash and pore therapy but not daily as I find it dying if I use it too much. It helped clear my blackheads very well

It does tingle/sting a bit but nothing that would deter me from using it. It also has a slight scent, reminds me of a product which contains SPF(which this does not). This BPO lotion is good at drying up acne but it does make your skin red especially when you spot treat with it. Skin may become irritated if you use it more than once a day. I would have given it 5 stars if it dried making a seal of the pimple. I wish a BPO product would do that. I have used some SA products that do that but SA doesn’t work as well for me. I wouldn’t recommend it if you have sensitive skin but otherwise it’s a great product that last long if you are only spot treating with it. If you are using it all over you would need a good moisturizer to combat the drying effects from it. This company uses high quality ingredients. I LOVE their gentle cleansing soap.
