this is a thick creamy serum, quite dense and kind of sticky at first. it does not leave an oily finish. it feels hydrating, but there is definitely some stinging with this product, but it disappears pretty quickly. but the scent, holy cow it is pretty bad. i am not sure how to describe it, maybe like a mixture of shea butter and vanilla and cologne that went rancid. luckily, the scent does not linger.

I had high hopes for this serum after reading so many glowing reviews online -- and I enjoy many other Perricone MD products. They are top quality. However, I've been using this one for a week and am not entirely convinced it's for me. I wanted a product with alpha lipoic acid, which this one has, but perhaps it is too strong for my sensitive skin. This serum burns my face every time I use it, and it takes a few minutes for the stinging sensation to calm down. I might have to get used to it, or perhaps use a heavier cream along with it. Just a warning: If you have sensitive skin, you might want to be careful of this one. I wish I had tried a sample or a smaller size before splurging on this.
