Put on a fresh face with PMD Personal Microderm. It replicates the treatment given by professionals by using the same Aluminum Oxide crystals on the patented spinning discs. The hand-held device uses vacuum action to gently pull skin towards the disc for optimum exfoliation. Thoroughly cleanse your skin. Make sure that it is free from all make up, dirt, and oils. We recommend using the PMD Advanced Soothing Cleanser, since it is specifically formulated to work with the PMD device and treatments.
Once the skin is clean, allow it to dry completely before you begin. A dry skin surface is particularly important because it allows the Microdermal Exfoliator to work properly and effectively. If the skin is damp or clammy, the disc will be unable to smoothly glide over it.
Connect the power cord to the device. Turn the connector one quarter turn until it locks in place. Insert a disc. Push the disc down firmly on the device post. Twist on cap, making sure to tighten the cap firmly against the black o-ring on the device. Check to make sure the disc is sitting slightly below the plastic cap.
On the first treatment, use the training disc on the neck to test how the skin will react to treatments from the personal microderm. This step does not need to be repeated beyond the first treatment. Use a free hand to pull the skin tight in the treatment area. Move the PMD Personal Microderm in an upward motion across the skin. Do not make more than two passes over one area during treatment.
Following the treatment, use a toner to neutralize the pH balance of the skin and a recovery moisturizer. Let your skin recover. Wait 6-7 days between treatments.
To clean: Remove cap by twisting counter-clockwise. Pull disc straight off. Pull out dark filter. Clean the cap and the disc with rubbing alcohol or an antibacterial soap. Clean the filter by running warm water over it and rubbing it between your fingers and thumb. Always remember to place the filter back in the device. For best results, replace the discs every 2-4 treatments.

Yes the PMD Personal Microderm Device discs are replaceable. These discs allow you to choose your treatment type from light to intense exfoliation. It is recommended that your switch disc heads every two to four treatments. You can purchase PMD Replacement Disc packs that include six replacement discs (four small for the face and two large for the body) for $14.95 at LovelySkin (http://www.lovelyskin.com/o/pmd-replacement-discs).

Ive had medi grade microdermabrasion before but I hated the down time. This allows total control when using the different disks. I did scab over a few places but I wont make those same mistakes again that resulted in scabbing. The suction didnt seem that powerful until I used it on the delicate tissue under the eye. It sucked it right in even though I was holding my skin taut. Definitely a great way to exfoliate. I also used a courser insert on top of my hands and then used a glycolic acid hand cream. The result there was immediate. It definitely is well worth the money! Just go light with pressure and make sure the disk is in the correct locations!

I am not sure about this product. It could be user flaw, but I found this product a little difficult to use because of the tiny pads. Its hard to tell what you have gone over and what you havent and going over the curved parts of the face were difficult for me. I was left with red stripes for a few days (you could see what I missed and what I didnt) and some of my skin got rough. I am not sure if it was my sking reacting to the microderm or if it was the moisturizer but it ended up being extremely oily for almost an entire week. After the week past, my face looked great though... its possible this is a great product and I just need a little practice but I only used it once because I was so embarrassed with how my face looked for the week. I gave the product four stars, because it could just be me... I have had a microderm done by an esthetician before and I dont recall my face becoming so oily afterwards. I do like how my skin looked after the oiliness and roughness went away... I will try again some day. Good luck to those who use this. Maybe get some help using it or practice on different areas of your body first. -Note, I did read the instructions and watched the dvd, as advised.. it was just hard for me.
