This is simply the best for allergic prone skin. Fragrance free with minimal ingredients. This one contains squalene as opposed to the balm which I believe has shea butter. Perfect Avene cream when you have some irritation especially from retinal. I use and have loved the Avene products for at least 10 years. My skin is very fair and sensitive and was unable to tolerate the regular tretinoin so my derm recommended the Avene .1%RETINAL cream and it works great but I still have to be careful and not use it too often (2 times a week) and that is where this recovery cream comes in handy. It is very soothing. If I need something stronger I use the Avene Cicalfate cream and that does the trick for sure.
