I purchased this cleanser because I've been having a lot of trouble with eczema around my eyes. I've tried several other cleansers that irritated my eyes (both skin and dry eye syndrome). This the ONLY cleanser that did not sting my eyes. It is gentle on my skin and not drying. It's not quite enough to remove all mascara and I have to use a gentle eye make up remover before cleansing. I wear minimal makeup and think I'll try a different mascara in hopes I won't have to continue the double cleanse. I like this and am going to stick with it.

Great cleanser for sensitive skin
This cleanser is rich, calming and unscented -- perfect for sensitive skin like mine. I also wear sunscreen and makeup -- and eye makeup -- and this helps remove all that as well. I think the oil content in the product helps emulsify sunscreen and makeup very well. I really like this product and will repurchase when it runs out. The large size is economical and long-lasting!

Another Great Product From Avene!
I recently placed an order and I happened to see this advertised and I decided to try it. I love this cleanser! It goes on so easy without all the rubbing, and rinses off with nothing left behind. My skin doesn't feel tight after cleaning. I have rosacea, very dry sensitive skin and this only does good things for my skin. I highly recommend this product!

Effective in every climate I've lived
I’ve used this as my body wash during many season for the last 15 years. When I’ve changed to a different product my skin hasn’t felt as nourished as with the XeraCalm cleansing oil. I’m completely satisfied with how clean-soft-healthy my skin feels when using it. I confess that I’ve never liked applying body lotions, creams or oils. For me that’s never worked and I always end up sweating & transferring lotions/oils into my clothes. Therefore, many years ago I began searching for a shower cleanser that could deeply hydrate my skin. Initially that’s why I bought it; to skip the moisturizing step after showering. Little did I know that (at least for me) it was going to be effective in all types of climates. It has protected my skin while experiencing harsh below cero winters, during excruciating humid periods, when I was living in a dessert-dry city; literally in every continent that I’ve lived. Sometimes I use it also as a facial wash and I’m also satisfied with its effects because it doesn’t leave my skin oily or “squeaky-clean”, it just has the right balance. It has never clogged my pores and it feels luxurious. A year and a half ago I was diagnosed with cancer, began chemotherapy and immunotherapy simultaneously. The oncologists emphasized that I had to maintain my skin really moisturized to avoid small cuts that could lead to infection. That’s when this cleansing oil was really put to the test. I kept using it and my skin never got cracked or extremely dry, even while being both on chemo and inmmunotherapies. And as you guess it I didn’t use any body moisturizer. The only thing that I did was change the shower filter more often than before the cancer diagnose. This product is not sold where I’m currently living. You have no idea how grateful I am that LovelySkin continues to have it on stock, even during the pandemic, and I was allow to obtain it during the last two years. The fact that it comes in a pump bottle was really relevant in this season of my life because it ensured that I would only touch the amount of oil to be used. Worth every penny!

Gentle cleanser
This cleanser doesn’t strip the skin and is the one I always go back to when my eczema appears. It doesn’t lather very much but has a nice gentle and calming feel. One of the few cleansers with no fragrance or fragrant oils that I have found. The only negative is the price.

This is a very nice product. It removes makeup. It does a nice job of cleansing my skin. I don't like it as much as the product that I have been using for decades, which has been discontinued, which explains the 4-start rating. I will keep searching for a replacement cleanser.

Not as good as expected
I am a huge Avene fan, but unfortunately I did not care for this product. It didn't leave my.skin feeling great....infact, I found it to be somewhat drying....not what I was hoping for at all. It smells ok...doesn't irritate my skin...but doesn't help the dryness at all for me.

Not For My Sensitive Skin
