A friend recommended this for crépey skin, it’s very moisturizing without being greasy or slippery. It’s advertised as being good for bruises which was a definite draw for me but I haven’t noticed that my bruises go away any quicker. I find it a little pricey for the size but it doesn’t take very much, goes a long way. It definitely helps with crépey look!

I am 72 and have severe senile purpura, which means if I bump anything with my arms or hands I get purple bruises that take weeks to heal. I have been using arnica gel for years, but this is even better, with both arnica and alpha hydroxy acid. It helps heal the bruises faster, as well as being very moisturizing for my dry skin. A bit expensive, but worth it!

Due to use of blood thinners (and age), I am prone to bruising, especially my forearms. As I live in Houston, I wear short sleeves a LOT, so my forearms are visible most seasons, which means the bruises are visible, too. I consulted a dermatologist about another issue and while I had his ear, I asked about the bruising. It used to take 4 or more weeks for bruising to disappear, during which time I was able to create new bruises, more often than not. My dermatologist suggested DerMend and I figured, "why not?" I'm glad I did. Now, a bruise begins to fade within a day or two and disappears within a week to 10 days. MUCH improved!!!! The only downside is that it warns against sun exposure, but I'm not sure why. I haven't tested it, but I do notice that I seem to feel the sun a little more than what I would consider normal. Not sure if that's the DerMend or the brutal Houston sun.
