Defective Sprayer?
I purchased this product since I always use the elta md face sunscreen and love it. I only used this once, it is a thicker mist but dried quickly. But, I have not been able to access the product since, I cannot get the sprayer to work, nor can I remove the spray cap to manually access it. Basically a waste of money at this point. Wish they would go back to a pump bottle for the body sunscreen.

Great physical sunscreen
Works very well for me through swimming and plenty of sun as someone who does not like chemical sunscreens. I have sensitive skin, no body breakouts, but please know I use something different on my face. Like with all physical sunscreens you do have to rub it in a bit vs spray and go like you do with the chemical ones - the result of this sunscreen was very nice with a light sheen on the skin. Gave 4 stars because the sprayer was defective on the 1st one I got, but because LS is such a wonderful company they sent me a replacement and it works fine.

Mixed Feelings
Pros: Sunscreen does not cause any problems for my highly reactive mature skin. Once it is finally absorbed, it is a nice sunscreen. Cons: Even though it is a spray, it’s still on the thicker side. I was expecting more of a mist. Takes a lot of rubbing in to get rid of the white cast. Takes awhile to soak in for the greasy feeling to subside. I’m still a huge Elta MD fan, but don’t think I will repurchase.

I love all elta sunscreens and I was excited about a spray. Well, I was disappointed. The spray is white and it has a powerful stream. My hair was covered in white sunscreen. You basically have to spray in your palm and then apply it on your body or face, which defeats the purpose of a spray. I was expecting a clear spray.

Pro: Non-greasy finish for body. Much less greasy than comparable sprays. Benefit of spray is easier to get coverage for large areas of the body. Con: Noticeable white-cast on face. I was hoping this would not have white cast on the face, but it did even though my skin is fairly light. Pro: Did not irritate my facial skin, which is sensitized. Conclusion: I can only use this on body, not face because of white-cast. Would be great to have 1 product that works for face and body without white-cast. This is my sunscreen of choice for body only.

I see that someone else had a defective spray can that does not dispense product. I cannot really rate the product until I send back the defective can and get a new can. It’s disappointing.

Double disappointment
First, I received a defective spray can which would not dispense the product without a heavy amount of force applied to the top using both hands, which made impossible to apply properly. As I was away from home, I did the best I could by confining the spray to one spot and then spreading it elsewhere. Despite this issue, I was initially thrilled after applying this for the first time during my Caribbean vacation. It went on sheer, rubbed in easily and left a perfectly moisturized non sticky finish. Perfect, I thought. However, within hours of application I developed a strange combination of rash and hives which grew progressively worse even after I stopped using the product. The rash was truly frightening. Luckily I had not used this product on my face or neck, and the rash was mostly confined to the areas of application. After a week I returned home and saw my dermatologist , who diagnosed my rash as photoallergic dermatitis. As this was the only new product I used I must conclude that it is the culprit. After a week on a steroid prescription cream , I am slowly improving. An expensive disappointment !!
