I wear this product year round for protection from the sun as well as any other light that is harmful to skin. The coverage is a bit better than the other tinted light blocking products. My skin is protected but I wish there were more than one shade of tinting.

Lovely product for more of a combo skin type
I have been used EltaMD Clear sunscreen for about the past year and really love it, but would love an all-physical sunscreen for my oily skin. Unfortunately, Clear is both physical and chemical and sometimes can make my skin burn upon application. Thought I would give this a try for my oily, yet aging skin and all the great reviews as well. It is a very nice product and I love the all-physical sunscreen ingredients but my skin definitely gets oilier quicker when I use this product rather the the Clear. I think this product may be better suited for my skin in the winter when the weather isn't quite as humid as it is now. Otherwise, highly recommend.

I've never been a fan of putting on sunscreen until I was introduced to EltaMD UV Clear by my sister. I've been using EltaMD Ultra clear for over 1 year and 1/5 now. I must say that I LOVE it. It's not like any other sunscreen I had used before. It's moisturizing and doesn't give me the white cast. Not too oily, it's perfect. I have normal to dry skin. I have the one in tinted, wish I could have gotten the one in untinted because the tinted one is a bit too orange on me. I am light to medium with warm yellow undertone. make sure blend the sunscreen evenly. I am definitely going to repurchase more Elta MD sunscreen since the prices will be increasing soon. Recommend this sunscreen.

I have tried several other well known/popular tinted sunscreens and have been disappointed by them all. Either they weren’t buildable, no coverage at all, too shiny, too white, etc. I really loved my sample of this product though. It covers well with 2 generous applications, I am able to replace my previous SPF foundation with this, and it has a much higher SPF so all the better. The color is perfect, and I prefer it to the SPF 41 tint as that 1 is too drying for me and too white. I only deducted a star because my sensitivity gets under eye area doesn’t seem to like it and after a few hrs it dries that area out and makes it appear older even though I double moisturize the under eye area before applying. I think I can work that out though with a sore rate concealer and eye SPF product. I hope. Also, I do wish it was a bit more matte, but it just looks dewy, not greasy.

I like this tinted sunscreen, but I prefer EltaMD UV Physical Broad-Spectrum SPF 41 better. I bought this one because it has hyaluronic acid in it, so I thought it would be better but it doesn’t seem as moisturizing as the SPF 41. It also costs more and has less ounces.

Smooth coverage but a tad thin
I like this product and it is a good color for my pale-fish, slightly yellowish-toned Caucasian skin. Thankfully, it applies smoothly and does not appear whitish due to the mechanical sunscreens. I would prefer slightly more coverage, but I am mixing it with my usual (lower SPF) foundation which works well. Glad it does not have the chemical sunscreens as those may be problematic according to the Environmental Working Group.

Effective sunscreen without toxic chemicals! No oxybenzone, avonbenzone, etc! Other “good for you” sunscreens with zinc didn’t blend in on my face, leaving a white residue, no matter how much I rubbed the product in. Elta’s tinted formula is perfect! Blends in well & is light on my face, even over top of an existing moisturizer, it doesn’t feel heavy. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, if that it comes off a little easy, on your clothes, fingers & tissue.

I would always put heavy makeup on my face after my sunscreen was applied. I now put this product on and feel protected from the sun and made up, as well. The texture feels wonderful on my skin. If there is one negative it is when the container is 3 quarters finished the product has to be opened to apply. It stops coming out as intended with a lot left to be used. I’ve tried squeezing the tube but still the applicator stops working as it should when the tube is full. With that being said I’ve purchased this product many times and will again in the future.
