Too greasy
This lip balm does moisturize my lips but it’s a little too greasy and tends to smear and get inside your lips leaving a weird taste.

Nourishing but leaves cast!
The lips are often overlooked when considering sun protection so I was happy to discover this product and it was also on sale when I purchased. It's very nourishing however it does leave a cast on my lips. I like to apply as base, and layer with other lip products.

One of the reviews said it left a white film on your lips, and indeed it does! Although I wear it just before going to bed, my lips are not as hydrated as I had hope they would have been upon getting up the next day.

I use Elta MD face and body sunscreen and love them. They are not greasy and are transparent. This product is a great sunscreen but looks a bit white. Not a good look for your lips.

White Lips
I purchase this lip balm because I am such a huge fan of the face sunscreen from Elta. When applied the lips are white and it somewhat fades but I still feel that a white tent that is very visible is left behind. This is a bit disappointing but I will say the sunscreen is smooth and silky on the lips. I just do not like the white coloring.

Super moisturizing but not an every day kind of balm. Does not absorb quickly and leaves a white sunscreen layer on your lips. Feels great but seems to not last long on your lips.

Weird taste, slight white cast
I bought this lip balm because I wanted a lip moisturizer with SPF, and since I already used a lot of EltaMD products, I thought this would be a good place to start. Overall, I'm very so-so about this product. It has a weird, chemical menthol taste. After I apply it, I can see a bit of a white cast on my lips, which doesn't look very nice. I've also noticed that I have some dry skin accumulating in the corners of my lips, which is unusual for me, and I wonder if it might be due to this product. Overall, I think it's drying out my lips. I don't plan to repurchase.

Good product but I can't use chemical filters in lip products
Found out that chemical SPF filters really irritate my sensitive lips so unfortunately, I had to give these away. I have heard they are good products though.

Is it worth it?
Not really sure if this is working. I've never worn lip SPF before, but I've never noticed anything off about my lips. I honestly feel like you could get a chapstick with SPF for much cheaper. Maybe save your money and pass on this Elta MD product.

Wanted to Love It
I love EltaMD products, but I was underwhelmed with the lip balm. It is sunscreen consistency with a menthol scent. I found the tube to be difficult to use precisely since it’s a squeeze tube. I realize the main purpose is to be sun protection from your lips, but I was hoping the product would have a little more elegance to it, like other EltaMD products. Good for a day at the beach, but I don’t love it for every day.

Lip Balm SPF 31
I don't feel that the product gets absorbed by the skin. I am not sure if its supposed to just sit on top of the skin for the sun protection to work. I had to wipe my lips to remove it before I drink or eat anything or I will ingest the product. I don't think I will buy again.

Lip balm
I love EltaMD products, so I was happy to see they had a lip balm with sunscreen. I liked the product except for two features. First, the tube doesn't hold much. I'm glad there was a buy two deal. I ran out a little too quickly for the amount I paid, and also, when taking the product to the beach, it heated up in my bag, causing it to smear all over when I opened it.

I usually love EltaMD products but I’m not fond of the lip balm. I usually wear lipstick and that doesn’t go too well with the lip balm. I’ve tried putting the balm on first & then lipstick & I’ve tried it the other way around. Not for me, but if you don’t wear lipstick it’s fine.

Just ''so-so'' for me!
I am a big fan of EltaMD sunscreen products for the skin, but the lip balm was just so-so for me. While I think it is very important to use a sunscreen on your lips, I felt this one to be a bit drying. Also, there didn't seem to be very much product in the tube.
