Reviews For EltaMD UV Physical Broad Spectrum SPF 41 Lightly Tinted Mineral Sunscreen
This was a miss for me based on consistency and color
Elta makes some great sunscreens, but this one was an unfortunate miss for me. I wanted to something to wear under foundation or in lieu of it on more casual days. The color here was just off. It did not blend well with my light to medium complexion. The consistency was also runny, water-like, and it provided zero coverage for me.

Leaves white cast
I have medium brown skin. This leaves a cast even though it’s tinted. It also pills and doesn’t absorb easily

Not great
Left a super white residue. Wish it could've been less drying and easier to spread.

Very lightweight. Best for oily skin
Not to be used as a moisturizer. I feel it dries my skin so I have to wear it on top of my moisturizer. I’m very light skin toned and can’t see any tint.

Tint too light
The sunscreen is good, but the tinting is a bit too light for my skin. That being said, I am of South Asian descent, so if you are around that skin tone, this would be too light. If you are of a different descent looking for a sunscreen that won't be too dark for you, this might be a good one for you.

Good but drying also
I really enjoyed the look and application of this sunscreen. Looked great on my skin. The tinted was perfect. However, after several days of wearing it my skin felt very dry, almost like a sun burn feeling. My skin was not red or anything but just very uncomfortable. I did try it with a heavy moisturizer but that did not help.

Pills no matter what I do
This sunscreen has a lovely texture and tint but no matter what I do it pills. It pilled even on clean skin without anything on.

Chalky spf
Unfortunately wasn’t impressed with this tinted moisturizer. It looked very chalky and pasty on my olive skin. Made me look like I had a mask on. Not super blendable either.

Wanted so badly to love this
Things started out very well for me with this sunscreen. I liked the mousse-like consistency, the tinted coverage, and the non-greasy feeling. However, after less than two weeks of applying it every morning, my skin was left extremely dry and scaly, especially on my cheeks, around my mouth, and even on my eyelids. By mid-afternoon my skin felt like it was burning and tight. I later read that zinc oxide has astringent properties and can be drying, so unfortunately physical sunscreens might not work for my combo skin for daily use.
