Easy to twist open, apply and gives a lovely glow
I received these as a sample with my order, and I love them. I have used Obagi and an organic less expensive brand of vitamin C over the years and both have worked just fine, but I noticed that with the less expensive brand my sun spots (despite daily sunblock) are no longer fading. These individual capsules are great. I''m not sure how a previous reviewer had difficulty opening. You simply squeeze the contents to the bottom portion and twist the top until it tears. There is a stinging/burning feeling at first application, but it didn't irritate my skin. One capsule, for me, was just enough to cover my face completely, without any left for hands neck or chest. It is not super spreadable, but applies nicely after you warm it in between your finger tips. I apply over a moist face (home made rice water) , and layer this with a retinol cream and then Replenix Brightening boost. My skin has been looking brighter and smoother in the morning. Only time will tell whether it can tackle my little freckles that appear in the summer but love the way it makes my skin feel.

I've been using high-end skin care products for over 11 years, to include Vitamin C serum, 15% or 20% every morning. I received a sample of this product, and my skin felt like it was irritated or "burning." I was surprised because I'm not new to Vitamin C serums. Sorry, this might be good for someone else but not for me.

I love that LovelySkin offers samples to try first to see if the product will work. I received a sample packet containing 3 capsules. I used one before bed and in the morning my skin looked bright even though I did not get a good night sleep. So, I ordered a full size because there's not a lot of products out there that can do this to my skin. It stings a little bit when first applied but it goes away. I only use it 2 to 3 times a week and it works well with my skin. I always followed it with a good moisturizer. I recommend to those who like using Vit. C on their skin.

I have been using Obagi 20% C serum for a while now and will continue to do so but when traveling it is so much easier to carry your C in these individual capsules neater and no spills from a bottle top not properly tightened. This serum does have more tingle than Obagi, but my skin isn't so sensitive that its a bad thing. It is hard to compare this product to Obagi because of the packaging–I haven't ever really considered the number of applications in the Obagi bottle. When traveling, I just count out the days I'll be gone into a smaller jar and done.
