I like the smell and texture of this, but it takes FOREVER to wash off. It's over lubricating or something and makes me feel like I can't get it all off? Once you finally do it does leave a nice refreshing scent and clean feeling.

This was recommended by my esthetician in 2018, and I have been using it ever since! It's gentle, yet effective. I am in my 30s and unfortunately have acne prone skin. Cleansing Complex thoroughly cleanses my skin without over drying it. I double wash with it at the end of the day when I wear makeup and it removes it all. I use it year round which is impressive to me because I get drier during the winter. I have 2 bottles at all times; one on the sink and one in the shower. My boyfriend got his hands on the one I keep at the sink and now he uses it too. He has completely different skin than I do, (he's oily, I'm dry) and he feels like it thoroughly cleanses him too. I tend to sometimes try new products, but don't change my cleanser because it's gentle yet effective and won't make my skin worse when I use it with other products. I have acne-prone sensitive skin and I have spent the greater part of my 25 years on this planet trying to figure out my skincare routine. I was introduced to this face wash after a facial and I hate this product BECAUSE OF HOW GOOD IT IS. 45$ to shell out for a face wash can seem daunting at first, but when it cleanses your skin so well, doesn't sensitize no matter WHAT, and prevents break outs, it is very worth it. I know they say to use this second, but I honestly use it as my first step in the evenings followed by another cleanser. It’s light weight and doesn’t strip the skin. My waterproof eye makeup mostly comes off with this, then my second cleanse gets the remainder. It has a slippery feel and doesn’t lather too much - one thing I had to get used to. Wet your face and hand, put small amount on the hand, add water to hand and lather as best can. Then massage for about a minute, then rinse. My face feels great after this. And, sometimes, depending on the season and my hormonal state, I have to alternate with a hydrating cleanser to avoid over-drying my skin. Also, I think it's important to remember that this functions as a type of exfoliant, so you have to be careful using toners or serums of the same type at the same time otherwise you run the risk of messing with your skin's moisture barrier.
