This is possibly the most natural looking, non-cakey foundation I've ever tried. And I've tried a lot! It has a more watery texture, but the coverage is exceptional. The jojoba oil was super nourishing on the skin, and it didn't seem to make my skin itch or clog my pores. (I'm super allergy-prone.) This company really knows what they're doing.

Ever since I turned 30 in May, foundations that typically worked for me started making me look dry and caked. Makeup was settling into lines, and I started to seriously dislike the feel of makeup on my skin. I ordered this foundation after purchasing samples of a few shades from the Koh Gen Do site. ($7 for 4 samples - kinda crazy but oh well). Once I figured out my shade, I ran here to get a full-size bottle for a better price. This foundation gives me about medium coverage (my preference), but I can layer it up for full. It is comfortable on the skin, doesn’t dry me out, and looks stunning all day (I do prime, set, and spray my makeup always). The only downsides to this foundation is the price when not on sale, the size (0.8 oz, most foundations are 1 oz) and shade range. BUT, if there’s a color that matches you, you’re really going to enjoy it! Although it’s a pain in the butt, I would suggest ordering samples from the Koh Gen Do site to get your perfect match–that is, if you’re not near a place that sells this product to try it on. I was surprised I was shade 112!! (My sister was the lightest 001).

This foundation, a sheer creamy blend is a perfect texture for my skin. This foundation comes in nice colors for fair skin. I tried both 002 and 113 both were light enough. The 113 is perhaps more neutral, the 002 more pink. Both are so sheer that the pigment aspect is not very impactful. It is buildable without caking, though. And gentle on the skin. I was surprised that this foundation looks matte on me perhaps my zinc sunscreen sucks some of the moisture from it? This is a lovely, elegant foundation, but I prefer a bit more coverage and a dewier effect. It won't go to waste, but I won't repurchase.

Really love Koh Gen Do foundation and originally was a huge fan of the high definition. It's absolutely fun to try different types of makeup and this received great reviews. After a few weeks of use have gone back to the first one (mentioned above). No problems with shine but doesn't seem to cover as well and appears more sheer. Maybe in the summer I'll switch back although doesn't seem to be as hydrating either. Again, love the company but not my favorite so 4 stars it is!
