Reviews For La Roche-Posay Effaclar Adapalene Gel 0.1% Acne Treatment
#1
As someone who has struggled with cystic acne for years, I was skeptical about trying another product, but this has been a game-changer! I have been using this every night for over a year and have noticed a significant reduction in breakouts and blackheads. My skin is clearer, smoother, and overall healthier. I initially experienced some purging, mild dryness, and irritation, but those side effects quickly subsided as my skin adjusted to the product. I highly recommend sandwiching your moisturizer with the gel starting out to minimize any discomfort. If you're looking for an effective and affordable acne treatment, LRP Adapalene Gel is definitely worth considering!

Acne
I have been breaking out a lot lately and my usual retinol was not doing anything for me. This just works! It can be very drying so I recommend a moisturizer.

Adapalene Gel 0.1% Acne Treatment
La Roche Posay’s adapalene works so much better on my aging acne prone skin than Differin. I’ve tried many different products including prescription strength Retin-A. This produce doesn’t dry out my skin or cause flaking and has been keeping my acne/oily skin in check. Highly recommend.

I use this every other day to keep acne away and smooth my skin. It's not too harsh and does not cause irritation. Highly recommend!

Nice sub for Retin A
I used this product in drier weather when my prescription strength Retin A dries out my skin. It is a nice substitute.

Gentle but effective with long-term efforts
I have been debating with myself about this brand and another popular brand on Amazon. In the end, I purchased the LRP Adapalene. And I am glad that I made the perfect choice.

Finally a retinoid product I can use
I love this retinoid product. I have never been able to use other retinoid brands. But I finally found one that my skin tolerates well and improves my skin! Increases cell turnover, less sebaceous filament, and softens my skin.

Great!
Have been using consistently for 3 years. Decided to stop and use a prescription strength retinoid and acne came back immediately! Did not realize how much of a difference it has made.

Alternative to retinol for anti-aging
I have been using this Effaclar gel for a month for anti-aging. It's too soon to say whether it has reduced fine lines and wrinkles, but I like using the product and will continue with it. I started slowly: twice a week at night, followed by moisturizer. Now I am using it every other night, still following with moisturizer. I have experienced some very slight peeling, but I feel that's a sign that my skin is being renewed and that the product is actually doing something. Good price and good customer service from LovelySkin, as usual!

Great!
My skin has a hard time adjusting to Tretinoin even at the lowest concentration of 0.025%. This has been non irritating to my skin so I would definitely recommend as an alternative to persons having many side effects of tret.

Adapalene 0.1%
I was looking for an alternative to retinol and researched adapalene. My skin reacts terribly to retinol, but this is different! I can actually use adapalene without the extreme sensitivity, redness, and peeling I have with retinol. Whenever I feel the beginnings of a pimple, I use this gel and it disappears almost overnight.

Prefer to the Differin
It irritates my skin less than a different brand, though there might not be a scientific reason for that. I use my moisturizer underneath this to get my skin used to it and it's a big improvement! Really like the product and I know it'll last a long time.

LRP adapalene gel
This stuff is awesome! I have tried LOTS of acne treatments and LOTS of retinol type treatments. I have skin that is oily, acne prone and tends to be pretty sensitive. I have started using this at night M,W,F and have noticed my cystic type acne is no longer red and inflamed and all my white heads are disappearing. I wouldn’t say that I have severe acne but I have persistent hormonal acne and sometimes it takes a long time to clear up and then once it does I have another one pop up. This stuff made a difference almost immediately and with no irritation. I really like it! It’s affordable and works well for me. Definitely recommend trying it!

Great!
I love this formula. I use it about once a week and my skin just looks and feels so much healthier. I have pretty sensitive skin so I use this very sparingly.

LA Roche Posay Effaclar Adapalene Gel 0.1%
My dermatologist suggested this to me as an option to Retin A. It’s much less expensive. Although it's too early to see results, I have no flaking and I love its smooth creamy texture as I apply it. I definitely will keep using it as my retinoid.

Great for teen acne
I have a teenage son that has used this for a few years. He mixes it with hyaluronic acid serum nightly and it keeps his skin clear.
