Absolutely AWESOME!
Cystic acne has plagued me since I was a teen and every moisturizer I have ever tried triggered a flare. I have used other La Roche-Posay products over the years with positive results. When I saw La Roche-Posay Effaclar MAT Oil-Free Mattifying Moisturizer, I was hesitant to try it given my track record with moisturizers, but my skin was so very dry that I decided to go for it. On the first use, my skin sucked it up and with each passing day, my skin both looked and felt better. I kept waiting for the first cyst to form - three days, five days, a week, two weeks and NO CYST FORMATION. I could not believe what I was seeing. I have continued to use La Roche-Posay's Effaclar MAT Oil-Free Mattifying Moisturizer with great results and so glad that I listened to that little voice in my brain that was screaming, "TRY IT!"

A new skincare staple
This has been a lifesaver for me. When trying to ramp up my retinol routine, my skin was dry and irritated, but my T-zone would break out when I added moisturizers. Not with this! I can apply it to my nose and chin without any breakouts, and it's hydrating enough for the rest of my face. Excellent product. Highly recommend.

Great moisturizer
Only reason I gave it 4 stars was the bottle size. It’s tiny. Only had it a few weeks and I think I’m running low. Otherwise, it’s a lightweight, mattifying moisturizer that soaks in perfectly. Even though I have oily/acne prone skin, my skin does get drier in the winter and I don’t think this would be enough in the winter.

Hydration for oily skin
My skin is oily with a tendency towards seborrheic dermatitis. This cream manages to hydrate my skin without leaving it greasy, it has excellent texture. Exceeded my expectations. On occasion I have used products that are for oily skin however they rekindle a seborrheic outbreak.

It works immediately. Once you put it on, you don't see any shine, and your face is definitely matte. However, within an hour the shine comes. It's not as strong as how it comes with other moisturizers, but it's still shine nonetheless, and within as little as an hour. At this point, I'm resigned to thinking that NOTHING can get rid of oily skin 100%. Oh well, just gotta live with it for life. The best assistance are oil blotting sheets.

Scent too strong
I was excited to try this moisturizer as I have oily skin. But the scent is so strong, I can't stand it. I was really disappointed because I use serval La Roche-Posay products. I'm going to look for another brand.

Not what I expected
The product felt oily after application, and my face felt and looked oily throughout the day. It also starts to come off in little white dots if I rub too hard on my face. Using any type of product after applying this moisturizer is impossible like sunscreen because it all rubs off. I was really excited to use it, but now, I'm too disappointed.
